Frederic Frank
President
Frederick Frank is president of Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, a position he has held since 1993. After graduating from Cornell, Fred worked for Banfi Vintners in sales from 1979 to 1982, before attending Geisenheim Reserch Institute for Viticulture and Enology in West Germany in 1982-1983. He was managing director of Old Brookville Vineyard at Banfi from 1984 to 1993. Fred has been a two term member of the CALS Dean’s Advisory Council and is a member of the Liberty Hyde Bailey Leadership Society. He has also served as a district director of the CALS Alumni Association. Fred has been a member of the advisory council for the New York State Agricultural Station. In 2010, Fred was named an Outstanding Alumni by CALS. Fred oversees the day-to-day operations at the winery with a focus on production operations, vineyard relations, and national wholesale. In 2023 Fred was honored with the Monteith trophy by the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association for his exceptional contributions to the development and sustainability of the American wine industry over the last 30 years.
Meaghan Frank
Vice President
Meaghan Frank is the fourth generation of her family to manage Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and two post-graduate degrees: one in Wine Business from the University of Adelaide, Australia and one in enology from Cornell University. Meaghan has earned her Wine Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 4 Diploma in Wine and Spirits and Champagne Master Level from the Wine Scholar Guild. She is a WSET Certified Educator and teaches Level 2 and 3 WSET courses in the Finger Lakes region. Since returning to the winery in 2013, some notable achievements include adding unique visitor experiences and creating a super-premium line of wines paying tribute to the women of the Frank Family. Looking into the future, advancements in technology, winemaking, and viticultural practices are in the works.
