Salmon Run is named after the majestic landlocked salmon that swim through the deep waters of Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes wine region of New York. For over 25 years, Salmon Run wines embody the experience of the Finger Lakes producing everyday wines for everyday enjoyment.
In 1993, Fred Frank, current 3rd generation owner of Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, founded Salmon Run Wines. In creating this new range of wines, Fred offered consumers all over the globe the ability to try wines from the Finger Lakes at an affordable price.
For over 25 years, this commitment remains at the core of our passions. Salmon Run Wines can be found across America, Europe, the Caribbean, Taiwan, Japan, and more.
We are happy to announce in 2022 many of our Salmon Run wines will have all-new packaging!
We worked with Napa Valley designers CF Napa to modernize our packaging, including two new illustrations. There are now slight differences between our Salmon Run range and our Coho range of wines.
Upcoming vintages with the new design:
Wines with the previous design:
Our COHO range of wines honor the tradition of sweet winemaking in the Finger Lakes. The new design differentiates these wines from our standard range with an updated Coho Salmon illustration and burgundy branding.
Salmon Run wines are produced from grapes grown by growers across the region, and younger estate vines from the Dr. Konstantin Frank vineyards.
All of the Salmon Run wines are made and bottled with the same team and care of Dr. Konstantin Frank wines.
